The Locavore Defense

by Jen Maiser, Editor

From last night's Law and Order: SVU.  Robin Williams claims he can't possibly have participated in a crime at a fast food restaurant because he's a locavore.  I just about fell out of my chair.  (video via Serious Eats)

OMG! This is off-the-hook.

Yeah! Pop culture references! Too bad the cop looks at him like he's a nut job.
Next up: a locavore rap?

I saw this last night. All I could think is why can't one of the cops on the show be expressing these ideas like they really are a sensible way of living instead of having a lunatic criminal express these ideas.

On a side note Robin Williams was absolutely great last night.

Wow...localism as a criminal defense. I'll have to figure out a way to use that for my recent speeding ticket...

So, was he guilty or not?!

First, the Oxford American Dictionary, then Law & Order: SVU. It's definitely going mainstream now!
