I enjoyed reading her opinion, especially since she readily admits that it's colored by her location: New Mexico, where water is scarce and farms are scarcer. I've been doing a lot of research on local eating online, and it seems like most of them are in CA, especially in the San Francisco area. There are also many accounts hailing from the Northeast. It's refreshing to hear someone's take from the Southwest, though, since eating locally around here really has its own distinct set of challenges.
