There's an interesting thread that's going on at Chowhound regarding restaurants in LA that support local farmers. Restaurants mentioned so far include Lucques, Grace, Josie, Rustic Canyon, Angeli Caffe, Michaels, Campanile, Joe's, Melisse, Capo, Parkway Grill, Cafe Pinot and Axe.
